Nova García was born in Laredo, Texas and takes great pride in her Mexican-American heritage. In Not That Kind of Call Girl, she features a strong, accomplished and spunky Latina female protagonist. Her work aims to dispel Latino stereotypes, recognize women for the everyday miracles they make possible with grit, resourcefulness and an inner superhero kick-a** attitude.

Not That Kind of Call Girl (The Wild Rose Press) is her first book in the women’s fiction genre. Her other award-winning books, under author name Diana J. Noble are Evangelina Takes Flight and Chances in Disguise (Arte Público Press), young adult fiction novels. 

In addition to writing, she cooks, bakes, watches her beloved Seattle Seahawks and sings in a local band. She is a seasoned public speaker and available for book club talks and speaking engagements, large and small.
